# How to Move to a Newer Ubuntu Version

You cannot upgrade a server's Ubuntu version in place in xCloud. The easiest way to move your websites is to create a new server in xCloud on the currently supported version (**Ubuntu 24.04**, or **Ubuntu 26.04** in beta — see [Create a Server with Your Preferred Ubuntu Version](/docs/create-server-with-preferred-ubuntu-version/)) and then use our [full server migration feature](/docs/perform-a-full-server-migration-with-xcloud/) to clone all of your websites onto the new server.
